Farm History

The MAiZE at Little Darby Creek is owned and operated by the Randy, Jayne, Mitchell and Ashley Rausch family.  They are the 5th generation to farm the 125 acres on Axe Handle Road.  This was home to Hickory Plains Farm 100 cow registered Holstein dairy until March of 2005.  In the fall of 2002, the corn maze was added as a fall agri-entertainment extension to the dairy.  In the summer of 2006, the first crop of u-pick red and black raspberries was available.

Randy operates the farm full time and helps his family with their kettle corn business which is enjoyed at The MAiZE by all.  Jayne works full time off the farm at Honda of America.  Mitchell and Ashley are in school and enjoy playing several sports and participating in 4-H and FFA.

The farm is located along Little Darby Creek in Union County.  If coming from the Columbus metro area, you will cross one of the 4 Union County historic covered bridges.  This bridge was built in 1873 by R. L Partridge from his patented design.
